Aaron Joyes – President/CEO
With over 18 years of construction management experience, Aaron brings leadership to many areas of Karve including: safety program administration, estimating, budget management, scheduling management, strategic planning, forecasting, and project execution. Aaron first started in the construction industry in the mining sector, followed by a senior operations leadership role for a site construction company, and as COO and CEO/President in the modular construction industry. Aaron has led the execution of numerous projects within the Relocatable and Permanent Modular Industry working closely with industry leaders within the Relocatable Modular Industry, public and private developers on multi-family residential as well as high-end resort destinations in some of the most remote parts of Canada.
Ted Vanderwal – VP of Construction
Ted brings over 20 years of construction experience to Karve, with the majority of it focused within the modular industry. Ted has provided leadership in safely executing and guiding high profile modular installation and dismantles projects to successful completion. He is highly respected in the modular industry by his team and our partners and has successfully transitioned from the field to his current senior role. Over the past 10 years of Ted’s career, he has spent time representing both the client and contractor which brings extensive value to Karve and our partners.
Mike McClocklin – VP of Operations
Mike comes to Karve with a strong background in electrical and mechanical installations and is a Professional Electrical Contractor and Certified Master Electrician by trade. With over seventeen years dedicated to the construction industry, he has managed projects in oilfield modular construction, water treatment installations and manufacturing. Mike’s understanding of construction and mechanical processes is unmatched. He brings a great sense of community, corporate, environmental and personal responsibility to his role as VP of Operations and believes that the ability to understand clients’ needs is key to being a successful leader and that the careful balance of these needs while understanding the corporate culture of the organization is vital to the success of any company.
Jon Cahoon – VP Finance
Jonathan Cahoon is a CMA-CPA with over 20 years of accounting experience, 12 years in the industrial construction industry and 8 years in a bio-tech engineering company. Prior to working for Karve Builders Jon was the head of finance for an EPC company servicing the oil and gas industry. Jon brings both public company and private company accounting and financial control experience to the Karve Builders family. When you can pull Jon away from work you will find him spending time with his family in outdoor activities or you will find him on the ice refereeing or playing hockey.
Derek Bandstra – Director of Project Development
Derek comes to Karve as a project management professional with over 8 years of commercial and modular construction experience. His primary responsibilities include leading the project development group as well as overseeing all project controls. He holds both a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Olivier Langlois – Director of Operations, Eastern Canada
Olivier comes to Karve as a Senior Project Management Professional with 15 years of EPC experience focused on oil and gas assets construction. He organizes and oversees the daily operations of Karve in Eastern Canada liaising with key individuals throughout the company to achieve operational excellence and advance regional strategic goals. Olivier brings in proven experience and results in the construction industry, augmented by first-class organizational and leadership abilities, communication and people skills. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from McGill University and an Executive Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Alberta. Olivier’s purpose is to satisfy all primary stakeholders in the region.
